US Court of Appeals
The US Court of Appeals is the highest appellate court beneath the US Supreme Court. Typically, cases are heard by a panel of three judges, but for matters of exceptional public importance or if the decision would conflict with a previous decision issued by the court, the Court can elect to do an en banc hearing where all judges of the court hear the case at hand.
